PSALM 139 (b): 1-8, 13-16, 23-24 | Sing Psalms
LORD, you have searched my life and know my heart; You search me and you know me through and through.
PRAYER
PRAYER OF CONFESSION
Our Father in heaven,
In this difficult season which you have ordained, we acknowledge that our greatest need is to be humble and still before you, to turn from our sin and to hunger and thirst after Christ and His righteousness.
Yet we confess that our tendency is to seek comfort in earthly things, neglect the gift of prayer and to become superficial in our thinking.
Forgive our unbelief, we pray, and help us to “discern this time” and to number our days that we might get a heart of wisdom. Fill us with Your Spirit, that we might live distinct, fruitful and God-glorifying lives in all the days to come.
For we ask all it in the name of our Saviour and Lord, Jesus Christ,
Amen.
