Luke gives us two intertwining stories in chapter 1. Nathan Kish explains the promises that are being made to Zechariah and to Mary. We can learn lessons by comparing and contrasting each of their responses and understanding how God fulfils these promises as fulfillments of his prophecies in the Old testament of the Messiah that was about to arrive.
Revelation 21 is a picture of the great promises of Christ fulfilled in glory. He's building his church and he's returning to bring all his people to be with him where he is. Rev Gibson brings out the beauty of the church in her glorified state as the whole of God's kingdom becomes the 'holiest of holies'. When God dwells with his people in eternity he himself is their glory and they reflect him perfectly.
Psalm 145
Westminster Shorter Catechism Question 4; What Is God? God is a Spirit, infinite, eternal, and unchangeable, in his being, wisdom, power, holiness, justice, goodness, and truth.
In Revelation chapter 21, the Apostle John gives us a further glimpse into the magnificance of heaven and the eternal blessing that they will enjoy as they dwell with him in that place. Rev Gibson preaches on the great blessings of the presence of God himself, the fact that all believers will have been perfectly prepared to be there and the reasons why they will have perfect peace with God for evermore.
What lens do you see the world through? What would change how you see things? James Murray teaches how a glimpse of the holiness of God shook Isaiah to the core and changed him. Listen to understand more about the only two reponses we all will have when we stand before him. Which one will you have?
Revelation 20
How do you view the millennium period? Pre-millennial, Post-millennial, or A-millennial?
Psalm 96; John 4:1-26
Westminster Shorter Catechism Question 4; What Is God? God is a Spirit, infinite, eternal, and unchangeable, in his being, wisdom, power, holiness, justice, goodness, and truth.
Revelation 19:11-21
In this section of Revelation 19, the focus is on the power and the glory of Jesus Christ as he returns on the last day to execute His Judgement. Rev. Paul GIbson explains 3 ways in which Christ is glorified through His perfect judgement. |
“Remember the Sabbath day, to keep it holy. Six days you shall labor, and do all your work, but the seventh day is a sabbath to the LORD your God…For in six days the LORD made heaven and earth, the sea, and all that is in them, and rested on the seventh day. Therefore the LORD blessed the Sabbath day and made it holy.” Archives
